This was a tough day of riding. We faced a strong headwind all day for 75 miles. For a time in the morning, a group of six of us cycled together but as the wind increased, we split in to groups of three. There wasn’t much talking or sight seeing, everyone just kept their head down and cycled. The objective was to get from point A, Fort Hancock to point B, Van Horn.
Just before arriving in Van Horn, we crossed in the the Central Time Zone.
We arrived in Van Horn at the KOA around 3 pm. The KOA had good tent camping spaces and a good washroom and laundry facility.
