I disassembled my bicycle yesterday afternoon and packed it in the bike case. It’s ready for its trip to Tucson. The packing process was a little easier this time since I’m taking my road bike instead of my touring bike. The bike frame fit much easier in the bike case than my touring bike did last year. It was -15c when I loaded the bike case in to my car. As much as I enjoy winter and cross country skiing, I’m happy that I’ll be leaving the snow behind next week when I fly to Arizona.
My trip across the International Bridge to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and through customs was pretty fast at 8:30 in the morning. By 9am I had dropped off the bike at the package and freight office and was back across the bridge in Ontario. Now that the bike is on its way, it’s time for me to start getting ready for my trip next week.
