Brawley to Palo Verde – March 19

Today’s ride was 71 miles.  We headed out expecting a scorching day in the sun and ended up cycling most of the way in cloudy conditions.  It started raining lightly just before we reached Glamis and continued to rain lightly for the next  25 miles or so.  We passed through a variety of terrain from the city of Brawley through desert, sand dunes, the Chocolate Mountains, through 20 miles or so of rollers and finaly to farm land at Palo Verde.

Stopped for water and a short break in Glamis. Chatted with some self supported cyclists.

RV Park in Palo Verde. Ranks low on my rating chart
