We enjoyed our morning run on the gravel roads around Caribou Lake today. It was a hot run with the temperature in the mid 20’s. I’m pictured here carrying a bear/dog stick that I picked up along the way. The route I follow is a 15 km run. I usually have some sort of dog encounter and sometimes see a bear. I haven’t had to throw or use a stick yet. Yelling seems to work well. No animal encounters today. I followed up the hot run with a short swim in our cold lake.
