The ride to Benson was an easy 40km ride and mostly downhill. I arrived early at the visitor centre and waited for the rest of the group to arrive so we could load up the van and head back to Tucson. Overall it was a very enjoyable week of cycling under bright, sunny skies. The cyclists and two trip leaders were a very friendly and interesting group of people.
We rode about 400km over the week and climbed about 10,100 ft. It was a good, relatively easy riding to get my cycling legs back after a long winter of cross country skiing. I’ll definitely come back here again in the future for some late winter cycling.
