I got on the road at about 7:15 this morning in an attempt to get some mileage completed before it got too hot. It didn’t take long before the temperature was in the 30’s celsius. Along the way I passed a couple on bicycles riding to Maine. A little later in the morning, when I stopped for a break in Saco, I met a cyclist traveling from Vancouver to Montreal. The ride was enjoyable, despite the heat. There wasn’t much traffic and the highway had wide, paved shoulders most of the way. I arrived in Glasgow just after 2pm and relaxed the rest of the day.
